Our next Montecito Community Informational Meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 23rd at 5pm at Cold Spring School. Please note the change in location from our other community meetings!
At the meeting, we will be discussing hazard mitigation projects that the County could apply for funding for.
I know many people are curious about the stakeholder process that we announced would be happening back in January. We are working to acquire funding to hire a third party, independent facilitator for the meetings. We currently have a proposal out and are awaiting confirmation on the funding. Fingers crossed that this comes through and we will be able to begin the process soon as I know people are anxious to get started!
Also, the Board of Supervisors will be considering the “Like for Like” rebuild ordinance amendments to address rebuilding after the debris flow on Tuesday, May 15th in the Board of Supervisors hearing room on the 4th floor of the County Admin Building, 105 E. Anapamu Street. The ordinance amendments are the second item on the agenda so will likely be up between 9:30 and 10am. I’m attaching an op ed Das drafted with his thoughts on the “Like for Like” amendments, which will hopefully be running in the Montecito Journal this week.
Thank you and let me know if you have any questions about anything!
