Kathee MillerM.A., Antioch University

    Kathee serve as Associate Core Faculty and has been a soul-centered depth psychotherapist in private practice in Santa Barbara since 1980, integrating Jungian/ Archetypal psychology, Hakomi Somatic Therapy, self psychology, trauma work, eco-psychology, contemplative practices, and the creative arts. She came into the field via the twin doors of visual art and dance, and likes to work on the edges where psyche rises up from the margins. She has taught at Pacifica since its inception as a Portfolio Evaluator for the Thesis and teaches courses such as: Process or Psychotherapy. Clinical Practice, Imaginal Psychology, Authentic Movement (active imagination with the body), and Jungian Sandplay. She is a passionate poet and photographer. One of her favorite things in life is to walk the edges of land and water, in silence, photographing wild birds. Currently she is creating photographic duets and mosaics of kindred images, using this as sacred dialogue between human and non-human subjects. Kathee is also married to an artist for 30 years, and mother of a very creative 25 year old son. She loves to study and is often immersed in research of depth psychology as a vocation. Her ongoing projects include: Love The Wild Swan: Offerings of the Imaginal, a book integrating post-Jungian theory with hands on practice in the consulting room and the world, The Body as Sacred Text, a book of poetry and photography, and a poetry collection Broken Open: From Darkness and Light, 2014. She is a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, and the Santa Barbara Chapter of CAMFT.
