Gioia is a Teaching Assistant, Adjunct Faculty, and a Research Associate in the M.A. Counseling Program at Pacifica. Gioia received undergraduate degrees from Pitzer College (The Claremont Colleges) in Psychology as well as English and World Literature: Creative Writing. Prior to completing her graduate work, Gioia studied holistic medicine for three years and obtained a certification as a yoga instructor. In addition to her work at Pacifica, Gioia sees clients in a private practice setting in Long Beach. Gioia enjoys reading, writing, gardening, and the preparation of bio-available foods.
